Chupa Phiri
Chupa has over 20 years of fundraising experience and has developed and delivered strategic and innovative fundraising plans against ambitious targets. She has worked across a broad range of revenue streams: trusts and foundations, corporations, statutory and bilateral/multilaterals, and has worked in both large ($50 million annual turnover) and small ($2 million turnover) charities/NGOs in the UK, USA and Africa.
She has successfully raised funds for diverse causes including a political party, disabilities, human rights, health, youth, education, HIV/AIDS and international development. Chupa has experience in community development, training, grant making, governance, and volunteering. She is passionate about African philanthropy and has recently set up and run a Community Foundation in Zambia which inspires local giving and supports community-based organisations through providing grants and developing their capacity.
